    Dr. Stephen B. Shaw was born and raised right here in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He is the true definition of “Vegas Born”.  After graduating from Ed. W. Clark High School in 1987, Dr. Shaw began his college career at San Bernardino Valley College where he ultimately earned his AA degree.  While at SBVC, Dr. Shaw was a two-year starting quarterback for the Indians, and was able to lead his team to the Southern California Junior College Championship in 1988.  In addition, Dr. Shaw was also a two-year Foothill Division champion as a javelin thrower while at SBVC.  From there, Dr. Shaw transferred back to his hometown, and enrolled at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1988.  While at UNLV, Dr. Shaw earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and also played quarterback for the Rebels for the 1989 season.In January of 1994, Dr. Shaw began Chiropractic College at Cleveland Chiropractic College, located in Los Angles, California.  In May of 1997, Dr. Shaw earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors.  Shortly after graduating, Dr. Shaw began working in Los Angeles with Dr. Bruce Hall, D.C.  Together, Dr. Hall and Dr. Shaw provided “set-call” Chiropractic visits to some of America’s most memorable television shows such as Seinfeld, Friends, NYPD Blues, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.In 1998, Dr. Shaw once again moved back to Las Vegas and started his own practice.  Throughout the years, Dr. Shaw has had the privilege of working on a long list of local Las Vegas Strip entertainers, Hollywood entertainers, professional athletes, and rodeo athletes.  In addition, Dr. Shaw has treated and sponsored many MMA fighters seen in the UFC Octagon, several of the “World’s Strongest Man” participants, and in 2007 was featured on a reality TV episode for the Oxygen Channel’s “Fight Girls”. Since October of 2002, Dr. Shaw has been certified through the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners to perform Permanent Partial Disability evaluations for injured workers.  Since April of 2009, Dr. Shaw has been trained through The Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation Program to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations.  Since May of 2021, Dr. Shaw has been certified through the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners to perform CDL/D.O.T. physical examinations. Over the past two decades, Dr. Shaw has specialized in the treatment and rehabilitation of injuries that occur due to trauma, such as auto accidents, slip and falls, physical assaults, and sports related injuries.  In his spare time, Dr. Shaw enjoys spending time with his two beautiful daughters, Caitlan and Natalie, his Bassett Hound Mocha, and his Miniature Schnauzer, Chiquita.
